Every price includes
Exterior refresh: pre-rinse, safe two-bucket wash, wheels and arches, glass, tyre dressing. Full valet adds the complete interior — vacuum, all surfaces, door shuts, mats, interior glass. Showroom detail adds decontamination (tar, iron, clay), a light machine polish and a protective sealant. Paint correction is the serious version: a full compound pass with cutting polish (one-stage, removes most swirls and light scratches) or compound then refine (two-stage, deeper marks and a sharper finish). Ceramic coating bonds a hard, hydrophobic layer to corrected paint — it must go on decontaminated, polished paint or it seals the defects in, which is why it is only offered on top of a detail or correction.
Paint correction and ceramic coating need a dry, shaded spot for the day and no rain for 12 hours after coating — a garage, carport or a dry forecast. We check before we book it in. We use your outside tap and a standard power socket — most driveways and workplaces have both; tell us at booking if yours doesn’t and we plan around it. Extra-large vehicles +£15. Same-visit price: an exterior refresh is £40 (small) or £50 (large or SUV) when it is booked alongside another Phileos service at the same address, or for a second vehicle on the same visit — we only travel once, so you keep the saving. Heavily soiled interiors, pet hair and sand are quoted on sight. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.

If the job is materially different from the booking, the team stops, photographs it and calls you before doing any work. We never do extra work first and invoice for it afterwards.
Why book a mobile detail instead of the hand car wash
The £8 wash uses one sponge on twenty cars. The swirl marks in your paint are where the grit went.
Safe on paint
Two buckets, grit guards, clean mitts per panel, pH-neutral shampoo. The showroom detail decontaminates and polishes before protecting — the right order, not the fast one.
Your time stays yours
We come to the driveway or the office car park during your working day. Book a fleet slot and every vehicle on the lot is done before the team goes home.
A price you agreed first
Fixed per vehicle and size. If the interior is materially worse than described — sand, pet hair, spills — we photograph it and agree the add-on before starting.
Pay for your detail online
Fixed price per vehicle, paid before we arrive. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer, secured by Revolut.
Our secure payments page lists every package with the price, tells you which size your vehicle is, and takes the payment on Revolut’s own page — we never see your card details. Paint correction, ceramic coating and fleet work are quoted after we have seen the vehicle.

Make and model, where the car will be (driveway, street with permit, workplace car park), whether there is an outside tap and a socket we can reach, and honest photographs of the interior if it has had a hard life. Fleets: send the number of vehicles and the site — we quote per lot.

Do you bring your own water and power?
Not at the moment. We work from your outside tap and a standard power socket, which most driveways and workplaces have. If yours doesn’t, tell us at booking and we will plan around it or suggest a nearby option.
Can you work on a street with permit parking?
Sometimes — it depends on access to a tap and socket and whether we can park the van legally beside the car. Driveways and private car parks are always fine; for permit streets, WhatsApp us the location first.
How long does it take?
Exterior refresh about an hour, full valet two to two-and-a-half hours, showroom detail four to six hours depending on vehicle size and paint condition.
What is a showroom detail?
Everything in the full valet plus paint decontamination (tar, iron fallout, clay bar), a light machine polish to lift gloss and soften swirls, and a sealant to protect the finish. It is what you book before selling a car or after buying one.
What is the difference between a showroom detail and paint correction?
A showroom detail polishes for gloss in about an hour of machine time. Paint correction is a full compound pass with cutting polish — one-stage removes most swirl marks and light scratches; two-stage adds a refining pass for deeper marks and a sharper, glassier finish. Correction is a full day, and it is the right preparation for a ceramic coating.
Is ceramic coating worth it, and why is it only an add-on?
A ceramic coating bonds a hard, water-repellent layer to the paint so it stays cleaner, washes easier and resists light marks and UV fade for a year or more depending on the coating. It must be applied to decontaminated, polished paint — applied over swirls it simply seals them in — so we only apply it on top of a showroom detail or a correction, and we need the car dry and under cover for 12 hours afterwards.
Do you do fleets and vans?
Yes. Fleets are quoted per site with a rota; vans are quoted individually by size and condition.
Are you insured to work on my car?
Yes — £5 million public liability. If we damaged a vehicle we would say so and put it right; that has to be true or nothing else on this page matters.
